History starts now
For almost two score and ten
I have listened to the stories of them
Those that sit by and just let life happen to them
They tell the story of my apparent history

The difference between me and them
Is quite stark in contrast as you begin
To grasp that I have little interest in hearing more stories of him

My history is here
My history is now
I can't change yesterday
But with my thoughts and actions today
I can effect tomorrow somehow

Then when I am gone
And my shadow follows me no more
You can tell them my.story
